What began as a way to document the renovation of my Florida fixer upper in 2010 has become something much more. The unexpected twists and turns, and the highs and lows of my story have unfolded throughout the pages of this blog. With so many changes, it’s hard to keep up! Here’s a timeline of the highlights:

Purchased first fixer upper home in CA just after the housing crash
Sep 2010
Moved from CA to FL, bought second fixer upper house
Dec 2010
Started this blog and made plans to launch a custom art print shop
Sep 2011
Quit day job for good, became full time Etsy shop owner
Oct 2013
Moved back to CA, purchased Modern Farmhouse fixer upper
Aug 2015
Caught a one-way ticket to Asia in the midst of a painful divorce. Met love of life in Vietnam 😉
Nov 2015
Returned to CA, spent the next several months finishing the Modern Farmhouse renovation
Jul 2016
Sold off all real estate, moved to San Francisco
SEP 2016
Purchased Cottage House Flip, began renovations
APR 2017
Finished Cottage House Flip, spent 8 months backpacking through 20 countries
JAN 2018
Moved back to FL… again!
FEB 2018
Purchased the Heights House (which caught on fire in March)
JUL 2018
Purchased the Riverside Retreat, began renovations
JUN 2019
Moved into the new Heights House after rebuilding
AUG 2019
Welcomed baby Esmé Rose
APR 2020
Purchased and renovated our beach house vacation rental (completed renovations two months later)
JUL 2020
Completed the Riverside Retreat renovation and began renting it out
APR 2021
Bought and began renovations on the Hacienda Hideaway
