2018 Spring Home Tour!

April 19, 2018 | By Jenna Sue Seasonal

You know, the seasons are my favorite excuse to decorate. Especially come Spring time, when the frost begins to melt and you have a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm to start with a clean slate.

I’ve always looked forward to coming up with new ideas for the different seasons (like this fun Spring shoot I did a few years ago) and sharing them with you guys here on the blog. I also get so much inspiration from other bloggers & designers who do the same, and I realized how selfish I’ve been lately by holding my designs back from the world. There are people out there struggling who need those fresh Spring 2018 ideas, and what kind of a person would I be if I kept them all to myself?

This past weekend I finally took the time to shoot a video tour of our apartment, filled with new inspiration from our travels and a design style you’ve never seen before (I promise). I was worried it was too early to share it and that the world wouldn’t be ready for this, but I think you guys can handle it:

So… did you gain some inspiration? Or at least feel a little better about your own home? One day, we’re going to remember this termite infested apartment, the nights sleeping on the living room floor with a cat that has pooped and puked and stained our furniture, the amazon boxes piled to the ceiling because we thought we’d only be here six months but now we’re stuck here because our house burned down and it feels like we’re NEVER going to have our own home… and we’ll look back and say… look how far we’ve come. We think about this day all the time, and although it feels so far away, this time will be gone in the blink of an eye. We are grateful for every second of it—messes and all. I don’t know about you, but that’s all the inspiration I need 🙂

Have a beautiful Spring, friends.

This is hilarious. You all are poster children for making the best of the situation. So awesome. With your positivity, there is no doubt that things will all work out for the best. Great job.

too funny, and I hope that making the vid lent y’all a bit of the lightheartedness that you must desperately need in the face of all that stress! Courage: this too shall pass.

This is hilarious! I’m so glad you’re keeping a sense of humor about the situation. Remember this is only a season and some day you’ll look back on these days with fondness. As far as cardboard boxes go who ever thought there were so many uses 🙂 Love y’all.
