Last week’s aged lamp DIY was a popular one (for good reason!) and I loved that it inspired so many of you to go thrifting and rescue an old lamp or vase.
While my tutorial was easy enough for anyone to do, I know that DIY isn’t everyone’s jam, and sometimes you’d rather just buy the thing. If that sounds like you, I’ve got you covered with this budget-friendly aged lamp + vase roundup.
You may recall that my inspiration lamps were quite pricey (the best ones usually are!) but I dug deep and was able to find several options with a similar aged concrete/pottery look, at very reasonable price points. I also had a few questions about where to find lamp shades, so I rounded up a handful of those too.
Table lamps
These lamps range from $33-$120, and are sorted from low to high. Click/tap on them directly to shop (or find them listed/linked below).

Planters + Vases
I wanted to include a roundup of these as well, as the ‘found pottery’ and ‘aged stone’ looks are in high demand these days. They’re also listed from low to high, and all under $50. Click/tap on them directly to shop (or find them listed/linked below).

Lamp Shades
There are many styles of lamp shades that can work depending on your personal preference, but for this roundup I’m sticking with the on-trend empire shape in neutral white/ivory. I choose shades that are wider than my lamp by several inches, and the shade height typically between 50-80% of the base height. The shades below are listed from narrow to wide, and range from 14.5″-26″ which should fit most table lamps (I used #4 for my lamps).

I hope you find this roundup helpful! Do you enjoy these types of DIY projects or would you rather just buy the thing? Sometimes it’s worth it to spend the money, but I always love a good creative challenge 🙂
For next week’s post, I thought it would be fun to try something new. I often receive requests to talk in depth about a certain topic or answer specific questions that aren’t necessarily tied to a project. I’ve never done a blog Q&A before, and had an idea to post an open call to answer your most frequently asked questions in one post. The topics can be anything from DIY/design to real estate investing, family/work life and more—and Lucas will be happy to take questions too, since he is a big part of this blog now!
Your submission is completely anonymous, so ask away, and we will answer as many as we can in next week’s blog post 🙂
