Every August, I make it my mission to track down the most realistic faux stems for the upcoming fall season. This year’s selection did not disappoint, with many new options to choose from (including the best $10 stem I’ve found yet!) If you’re looking for the most lifelike and affordable stems, keep reading to discover my top 16 picks!
Never underestimate the power of a few seasonal stems placed throughout your home to get you into the fall mood (a real good candle doesn’t hurt, either!) If you aren’t lucky enough to have autumn foliage growing in your backyard, there are many great faux alternatives that you can reuse for years to come.
There are a few top rated favorites I included from last year but the rest are all new finds (many currently on sale). These tend to sell out quickly and are often discontinued for the next year, so don’t wait if you find something you love!

Curious to see how these look in real life? Here’s how I’ve styled a few in our home…
These huge 48″ grape ivy branches were a must-have from last year, and look extremely realistic. I styled four in this terracotta floor vase.
These dark red maple leaves are my favorite new find this year—and they’re an incredible value at just $10. I used three stems in this 12″ beige stoneware vase. I’m also getting a tiny bit of Halloween vibes with these too, don’t you agree?
These viral plum cimicifuga stems from Afloral will never go out of style and end up selling out every year. I used six in the vase below, but 2-3 also look great for a minimalist arrangement.
This set of 15 baby’s breath comes in a bunch of colors (I have them in white, mixed and burgundy shown below). The size is ideal for smaller surfaces like nightstands, bathroom vanity counters and dressers.
