After four months of renovations and four weeks of reveals, we’ve reached the end of our Cottage House Flip journey. Watch it all from start to finish:
I knew going in that it wouldn’t be a walk in the park, but nothing truly worthwhile comes easy. Between snowstorms, power outages and unexpected expenses, it was more of a challenge than any of us could have predicted—but some amazing opportunities and learning experiences came out of it.
In just a few short months, I’m much more prepared to take on the next one, and will continue to grow and improve through each new experience. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
But for now… let’s do one final Before & After House Tour! (this is a condensed version—scroll to the bottom for links to each individual reveal, DIY projects and sources)

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me on this journey and lent me your support and encouragement along the way. There were more than a few days where I felt defeated, exhausted and wanted to quit, but I pushed through it and managed to not only survive, but stay on schedule and accomplish what I had set out to do.
As promised, I’ll be sharing a budget breakdown in a couple days for those of you curious about all the costs involved in house flipping. I was surprised by some of the results, and hope that by sharing my personal experience, people considering flipping (or renovating in general) will know more of what to expect.
See you in a few!

wow, what a transformation! My hubby and I flip houses too, and can I just say that the amount of staging and decorating you put into each room is amazing! I only staged the kitchen (for photos) in our last flip because we already had a buyer, but I was completely exhausted just doing that! Amazing work – well done!

Wooow, really nice! I am sure if previous owners would have your ability to see the potential and had passion & money to make it reality, they would not sell this house. 🙂 I have a feeling they regret they did. 🙂 Good luck on your future projects.

Can I just say one word? Gorgeous!!!! A real show stopper. What great vision you have. Love the lace touches , color choices, and so many things, actually, everything you did.

You brought your vision to life beautifully. How you imagined this cottage could be the gem it has become is mind blowing. I’ve enjoyed following you on this journey and look forward to the next one.

The transformation is absolutely stunning! Will you be sharing a link to the MLS listing?
Denise says
What an incredible before and after! You must be so proud of this accomplishment and I bet you enjoy spending time in the cottage amid the results of your hard and persistent labor. Because I can’t get enough of every detail, do you have before and after pictures of the stairs going up to the bedrooms, the side porch off the kitchen and the back porch next to the chimney? You continue to amaze, Jenna!

As beautiful as your photographs are, I have to say the house looks even better in person. What a fabulous home for family vacations. I just wanted to curl up with a good book and cup of tea in any one of those cozy bedrooms or sit on the deck with a glass of wine. The kitchen and living area could definitely hold a crowd. I was surprised to see how much seating is available in a home that size. It felt roomy and cozy at the same time. The knotty pine looks fabulous painted white. You had a vision and pulled it off beautifully. Every detail is spot on. Hope you get a buyer soon.
